one of the main characters in death in absentia. along with amaranth she's one of the first characters i made for the story :]

born fully formed from the ground, same as every other nymph. never felt quite at place within the languid and peaceful lifestyle other nymphs lead. ostracized for no discernible reason, to her, other than the fact she was different.

decided to leave "civilization" as she knew it altogether nearing her 200s. lived alone in the wilderness for the intervening 200 years before the story takes place, her only encounters with other people being while stealing books or paper or ink. that being because isolated by choice and with not much else to do she decided to focus on her only hobby - research. of any sort about anything and everything, but with particular interest on naturalism. her makeshift tree house in the middle of nowhere is completely strewn with papers.

in her aimless research she finds occult texts describing how one could, theoretically, leave the underworld. it's impossible, obviously, everything is perfectly designed and controlled by the gods of death. forces beyond her comprehension. but she can't help but be fascinated.

until one day while looking for samples she finds a stray soul.
